CORIMBO is a sonorous reflexion, a search for new sound sensations using everyday objects, such as flower-pots or bowls of different shapes and sizes. The piece of work is divided into well defined parts, drawing us towards the rhythmic wealth of authors Duch as John Cage, or to the almost hypnotic repetition of Steve Reich, passing through fughed melodies ore ven drawing us to the virtuous african rhythms “bembé”, all this exploring to the maximum limit the sonorous possibilities of the bowls, even saving a moment of sonorous calm in order to listen to the “classic” free cadence. CORIMBO entails an interpretative challenge, the idea is the fusion of sound, the coming together, the harmonious end,… The whole piece is orientated from various points which generate different sonorous spirals in order to coincide at the end, and create the union… as if a group of flowers grow in different parts of a stalk, but due to the lenght of the stem of the leaves, compensate the distances, attaining the same height, thus forming... the CORIMBO.
