Work commissioned by AMProBand (Association of Professional Band Musicians of Spain) for its tenth Anniversary.
Premiered by the AMProBand Symphonic Band (comprised of the Badajoz BMM and musicians from the 27 Spanish civil professional bands) at the 8th A Toda Banda concert, on 20 May 2025 in the López de Ayala Theatre, Badajoz (Spain).
AMProBand Overture is intended as a small tribute to all musicians – past, present and future – in our country’s professional municipal bands. It is our wish that every time it is performed, it will remind us of the importance of our bands and their huge contribution to Spanish musical culture.
